Hello out there, intertubes. How're you doing today?

The above quote seems like a good start. I'm planning on putting my daily views on things here, as a way to learn about them by first writing, and then seeing what responses I get that might be thought provoking.

I am a geek, a gun owner, interested in politics and such, and more than a tad snarky. I'd like to have a spot to throw my ideas into the world and to see what comes back. Let's see what running this flag up does...
